About Us

The American Psychiatric Association Caucus on Complementary & Alternative Medicine is a special interest group of psychiatrists interested in all treatments that can benefit our patients.   We are committed to understanding not only conventional treatments, but also "alternative" or "complementary" ones.  Complementary treatments can include nutritional supplements, herbals, acupuncture, neurofeedback, mind-body practices, and many others.

Mission

Our mission is to advance medical and public understanding of Integrative Medicine in Psychiatry.

To this end, we offer Webinars, Scientific Sessions, and Listserv News.

Who Can Join?

Membership is open to all psychiatrists (MDs and DOs) and psychiatrists-in-training (residents and medical students) worldwide.
